Stop Our Stigma Pledge

I am taking the pledge to Stop our Stigma with EMSHelp.org. EMS Caregivers have a 39% higher rate of suicide than the general public, and I am committed to doing my part in reducing this number. The stigma in our industry says it is not okay to admit you have a problem, and that must stop. By signing this pledge, I agree to recognize and commit to reducing the stigma associated with mental health and seeking mental health help. By agreeing to the pledge, EMSHelp.org will provide support and guidance to all EMS Caregivers that commit to stopping our stigma. We will also assist industry leaders with developing and implementing mental health programs and provide long-term support where needed. In general, the EMS industry has made considerable strides in reducing the stigma and providing support to our First Responders. However, we still have work to do to ensure the health and wellness of our people. By signing this pledge, you will be given access to resources, data, and the outline of our resiliency program that has empirically reduced the stigma and positively impacted many who have utilized the program.
